About

Every city has a shape. The bend of a river that decided where the bridges go, a harbour that pulled the streets toward it, a grid that ends where the mountains begin. Strip away everything else, and what remains is a portrait.

MinimalistMap makes those portraits — minimalist map posters of 103 of the world's greatest cities, drawn street by street from real map data. Each city comes in two editions: Classic, black streets on crisp white, and Dark, white streets on deep navy. The place you're from, the city where you met, the one you still think about — as wall art.

And because some journeys are defined less by the city than by the airport that took you there, we also draw 221 of the world's great airports: true runway, taxiway and terminal layouts, in the same two editions. Every design is available as a museum quality print, a framed poster, or an instant digital download pack with both styles in six print sizes, available worldwide.

How each map is made

We render every poster from OpenStreetMap data — every street, waterway and park, from eight-lane motorways down to footpaths — then compose it with the city's name and coordinates at print resolution: 300 DPI at 50×70 cm on 250 gsm museum-quality archival matte paper.

Printed on demand, near you

Nothing is mass-produced and nothing sits in a warehouse. Your poster is printed when you order it, at a production facility in your own region — in the US, UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand — and shipped free with tracking. Shorter distances, no waste, no import-fee surprises.

Open data, credited

These posters exist because millions of OpenStreetMap contributors map the world and share it freely. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under ODbL.
